These web pages bring together basic information on children and families in Finnish legislation and the programmes of the government.The Ombudsman for Children is independent from government but we want to give you some good links to the child and youth policies in general in Finland.

 
This site also contains links to the online data base of Finnish legislation, which includes legislation concerning children.

In addition, the child, youth and family policy programmes and goals detail the government's child policy .

The site also brings together information on the various quarters and authorities dealing with children's issues locally, regionally and nationally.
